Join Lehigh University's Library and Technology Services as an Electronic Resources Librarian (Position Number S98130)! Lehigh University is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Electronic Resource Librarian to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of electronic resources, including license negotiations, acquisitions, access support, and assessment. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure reliable access to our extensive collection of digital resources through our library discovery ecosystem, encompassing library management platforms, knowledge bases, access and discovery tools, authentication services, and user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full life cycle of electronic resources, from license negotiation and acquisition to access support and assessment

• Collaborate with the collections team to analyze usage statistics, evaluate budgetary parameters, and make informed decisions on resource purchases and renewals

• Ensure seamless integration and reliable access to electronic resources across the library's discovery ecosystem, including library management platforms, knowledge bases, access and discovery tools, authentication services, and user interfaces

• Participate in license negotiations, thoroughly reviewing terms and conditions to safeguard the institution's interests

• Continuously assess and optimize the user experience by evaluating and enhancing the library's digital offerings

• Provide training and support to library staff and users on electronic resource access and troubleshooting access issues

Qualifications:

• ALA-accredited Master's Degree in Library or Information Science or the equivalent in education and experience

• One to three years of related work experience

• Professional experience supporting electronic resource life cycle activities in an academic library including work on licensing, discovery services

• Strong working knowledge of spreadsheet software, such as Google Sheets or Excel

• Experience with wiki software such as Confluence

• Ability to develop creative solutions and work both individually and collaboratively

• Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, set performance expectations, implement efficient workflows, achieve goals, create documentation and direct work in a high-production setting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team environment
