WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Move packages, resins, and finished goods in and out of production area.
Support all material change overs in the area.
Order ware needed to run upcoming jobs.
Ensure all ware is scanned from one location to another.
Ensure inventory accuracy of the department.
Check stock items that are needed on production floor, Do NOT overstock
Print, read and understand Production Schedule.
Communicate relevant info to other floor attendants.
Verify Material is correct for each work order / work center.
Make sure all material being staged is followed using First In- First Out (FIFO).
Be able to effectively operate equipment as required.
Adhere to safety policies.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, keep work areas neat and clean, remove unneeded materials from the floor. Report any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
Wear company issued REQUIRED personal protective equipment (PPE) for an ISO 13485 and GMP compliant facility.
Other duties as assigned.
Material Handler Progression:
As you progress in the job and dependent on facility location, other duties may include the following:
Perform Physical inventory of all staging locations and work centers as needed.
Trouble shoot and correct issues with company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, IQMS, pallet construction (ex. moving a box from one pallet to another, finding a missing box / label, etc.)
Review completed work orders for errors and review with supervisor.
Print pallet labels and same serial number replacement labels.
Conduct production recording in the absence of the supervisor.
Resolve inventory and production recording issues in collaboration with Production Analyst.
Print “firmed” stock work orders and labels.
Serve as a routine resource or member of a process improvement team.
Safety and Cleanliness
Adhere to safety policies.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
Wear company issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as uniforms, gloves, hairnets.

Are You?
A High school, Vo-Tech, or equivalent graduate with one to three months related experience and/or training.
Strong basic math skills - adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Certification or License: Forklift certified or ability to become certified.
Do You?
Be a Self-Starter, work with minimal direct supervision.
Work in a team environment.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Write simple correspondence.
Effectively communicate / present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.
Perform basic math - add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Effectively communicate with supervisor.
The ability to read, write, and comprehend information provided.

Stand for most of the work shift.
Use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, crouch, bend, twist, and only occasionally sit.
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Heavier amounts can be moved with assistance of equipment.
Knowledge of and/or previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus!
