Fairweather, LLC is looking for Locum Tenens PAs and NPs to join our medical team of professionals for a drive to provide excellent patient care.

Fairweather's medical department consists of physician assistants, nurse practitioners, paramedics, EMT II/III and registered nurses.The number of employees varies based on camp location and work activity levels.
WORK LOCATION and Schedule:
REPORTS TO:Fairweather Medical Manager and Fairweather Medical Director/Collaborating Physician
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Practitioner for acute and occupational medical care. This includes routine minor illnesses, medical emergencies, and trauma. Directs triage, patient transport, and medical supervision at mass casualty incidents. Interfaces with other response team sections.* Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in the workforce according to a collaborative agreement with the supervising physicians.* Prescribe and dispense appropriate pharmaceuticals, including controlled substances, as approved by the supervising physician, within the scope of the collaborative agreement and in accordance with DEA regulations.* Determine the need for emergency air evacuation of seriously ill or injured patients to appropriate medical centers in Anchorage and Fairbanks* Conduct laboratory and electro-cardiograph diagnostic procedures as required.* Refer patients to appropriate consulting physicians within Alaska when required.* Attend daily and/or weekly safety and training sessions with the Medical Director and/or Medical Emergency Response Team* Maintain medical records according to company policies and expected standards of medical practice. This includes but is not limited to injury reporting, completion/review of medical forms, and maintenance of statistical logs.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
