Job Summary:

Coordinate and support the College of Education's admissions, recruitment, and field experience strategies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: utilize various recruitment customer management tools, such as Slate, to engage and recruit prospective students; review, evaluate, and respond to candidates about admissions decisions according to established policies and procedures; work collaboratively with others on Texas Education Agency (TEA) documentation; complete and verify field office documentation and benchmarking and follow the practices and policies of the TEA; and maintain internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admission.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Review and evaluate applications, and communicate with candidates about admissions decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Deliver directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiences.

  • Utilize communication and recruiting tools to engage in admissions and enrollment communications.






  • Support recruitment events and efforts in on-campus, off-campus, and online venues.

  • Collaborate with the Office of Student Services and other stakeholders to implement retention strategies and implement student engagement initiatives to engage students and alumni.





  • Work collaboratively with others on Texas Education Agency (TEA) documentation, communicate activities related to clinical experiences, resolve issues and answer questions accurately through excellent written and verbal communication with students, program coordinators, cooperating teachers, and field supervisors.





  • Complete and verify field office documentation and benchmarking and follow the practices and policies of the TEA to ensure that student field experiences comply with TEA regulations. This includes making sure that paperwork is received, completed, and uploaded; clinical assignments are made, and supervisory documents are submitted in accordance with the Texas Administrative Code.

  • Assist with state and federal reports.





  • Maintain internal and external partnerships focusing on field experience, recruitment, and admission.





  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to Education with three (3) years of teaching experience.

  • Valid teaching certification.

  • Working knowledge of Texas Education Agency (TEA) clinical experience requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in a field related to Education.

  • One (1) year of clinical teaching supervision as a cooperating teacher or field supervisor.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Proficiency in all phases of duties performed.

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be able to interact effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.

  • Proficiency with computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and datacase management) and familiarity with electronic communications.
