We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our construction client. In this role, you will manage all aspects of the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collection of payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction billing practices, contracts, and customer account management. This is an onsite position.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and issue invoices for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms
Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment
Reconcile accounts, track payment terms, and resolve any disputes or discrepancies with clients
Prepare regular aging reports
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in the construction/HVAC industry
Skills:
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
