Under limited supervision, facilitates and manages departmental and organizational projects. Provides support and expertise in the planning, development and coordination of projects within the organization. Including operationalizing project plans by gathering appropriate information, identifying and collaborating with key stakeholders, and synthesizing highly complex information. Develops systematic, sustainable processes and establishes their structural foundations. Serves as key resource for communication, project planning, data management, and process improvement initiatives.
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

Autonomously facilitates and operationalizes projects to achieve established departmental and organizational goals, while considering all appropriate stakeholders.
Independently standardizes processes, communications, and tracking methods for use in ongoing project planning, sustainability, and improvement. Creates structure from ambiguous and numerous sources of information.
Develops and leads in project activities including but not limited to scope identification, budget planning and fiscal onus, and ongoing communication and collaboration with team members. Independently prepares written documents, delegates tasks as necessary, and monitors and analyzes progress of project tasks.
Interfaces and collaborates with key stakeholders throughout the hospital in the development, planning and execution of project activities. Autonomously assesses the need for disseminating and retrieving pertinent information and communicates with all organizational levels as necessary. Coordinates stakeholder and user group meetings to accomplish informatics goals.
Compiles and synthesizes highly complex data, analyzes outcomes, and prepares reports for ongoing process and outcome review. Responsible for the research and data compilation from a variety of internal and external resources to provide support for project plans, reporting and regulatory compliance. Reports include but are not limited to graphical representations of data, oral presentations, written reports, and visual presentations.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required or equivalent experience.
Two (2) years of professional experience in communications, project management, etc., required. Healthcare setting preferred.
Must possess project management certification from PMI or other accrediting agency or must obtain certification within 2 years.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Highly effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively relate with all levels of hospital staff and stakeholders.
Proficiency in standard computer applications including MS Office suite applications.
Understanding and familiarity with quantitative and qualitative data and is able to present information to a variety of audiences.
Ability to understand, analyze, synthesize and manage highly complex information.
Critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated skills in project management, communications, budget management.

Additional Information The University of Maryland Medical System Corporate Compliance and Business Ethics Department operates in a hybrid work environment. Team members are required to be on-site two days a week, with the option to work remotely for the remaining days.
