Position Summary

The Cellar Filter & Ice Machine Operator position tends to the day-to-day operation of Cellar Equipment. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Responsibilities

•    Must follow written and verbal instructions with little supervision
•    Must operate Cellar filter equipment
•    Must monitor centrifuges, filter wine flow, filter powder additions, tank levels
•    Must complete equipment & line sanitation process
•    Must understand and interpret filterability’s 
•    Responsible for compliance with CWUS sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable and environmentally sound.  This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.
•   Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety.
•    Will be required to connect pumps and hoses to pipelines.
•    Transfer lines and sanitary practices as they apply to Cellar Operations.
•    Operate forklift and pass OSHA test.
•    Support departmental goals.
•    Must have demonstrated good personal initiative and positive team participation.
•    Keep legible records and handle paperwork as required.
•    Operate multiple machine centers concurrently.
•    Perform assigned tasks as specified and/or written orders to completion with minimal supervision

Minimum Qualifications:

•    High School Diploma/GED
•    0 – 2 years’ experience 
    -    Equivalent Combination of education & experience
•    Ability to work various shifts as assigned
•    Ability to work 7 days per week, overtime, and 12 hours per day as needed.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

•    Physical Requirements: 
    -    Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds
    -    Stand for extended periods of time
    -    Walk on wet surfaces
    -    Climb Stairs
    -    Climb a ladder/scaffolding
    -    Must not be afraid of heights
    -    Take measurement in high places
    -    Perform duties in confined spaces
    -    Sense of smell

•    Work Environment: 
    -    Occasionally working around moving machinery.  
    -    Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic and caustic chemicals. 
    -    Work Outdoors/Indoors
    -    Work high places
    -    Warm/Cold climate

•    Travel Required: 
    -    0 – 5 percent

The salary rate for this role is $28.69. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
