Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Tech III in Maplewood, MN, with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will lead or support the development of new products in Energy Markets.
This is a first shift position.
As a Lab Tech III you will:
- Support protype product testing and pilot line trials to guide decisions on materials and constructions
- Closely interact with scientists as a team to carryout experiments and testing
- Document observations and results in technical notebooks
- Assist in data summarization and preparation of final reports.
- Report test results to appropriate staff.
- Coordinate equipment calibrations to ensure accurate calculations of test data.
- Perform routine lab duties, including shipping and storing of samples.
- Operate equipment in pilot line facilities
- Most products will be associated with electric vehicles
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Able to accept projects from multiple team members, prioritize, and complete with little supervision.
- Work well in a team environment and able to handle changing project priorities.
- Experience with adhesives and tapes
- Experience working on a cross-functional team.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, positive work style.
Pay Rate: $28.24 per hour
