As a Safety Coordinator you will:
Perform assigned duties to ensure that the facility conforms to regulatory and corporate environmental, health and safety policies. Act as site contact for EHS related matters.
Facilitate implementation of safety programs and required EHS standards
Conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with corporate policies
Act as the site contact for safety related matters
Documents and maintain records of all incidents including near misses
Facilitate root cause analysis and action plan development for all recordable incidents
Conduct regular safety tours and safety talks and document attendance
Track the progress of action plans and provide updates to management team
Coordinate with HR to ensure required training is assigned and completed by employees
Understand and keep current with OSHA and other governmental regulations;
Communicating with other departments relating to Environmental, Safety and Health activities;
Review contractor safety guidelines and practices to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies;
Organize plant Safety Committee, review committee audits and findings, and implement recommendations as applicable;
Coordinate LOTO and other pertinent maintenance procedures with Maintenance Manager for compliance;
Must promote a safe working environment and good GMP's

The ideal Safety Coordinatorcandidate will have:
At least 3 years experience in manufacturing environment
Knowledge of OSHA standards
OSHA 10hr Certification preferred
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite
Ability to multi-task and work independently
Ability to work in a team and motivate others
Pay Rate:$26 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
