Volt is hiring an Order Entry Clerk in Anaheim, CA.
As an Order Entry Clerk you will:
Communicate with customer service and sales teams and customers to confirm order details, resolve discrepancies, and respond to inquiries.
Assist with inventory and purchasing for material levels to avoid backorders
Generate weekly order reports and coordinate and update with interdepartmental meetings.
Collaborate with shipping, accounting, and production teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
Type in data provided directly by customers or other stakeholders
Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
Verify data by comparing it to source documents to ensure accuracy
Update existing data and correct any discrepancies as needed
Retrieve data from databases or electronic files when requested by team members
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas) to organize and analyze data
Ensure data integrity and confidentiality, particularly for manufacturing-related records
Assist with generating reports and organizing data for management, production teams, and quality control
Follow company procedures and data entry standards, especially those specific to manufacturing processes

Required skills and qualifications:
Education or Certification in Business and Administration or industry preferred
3 to 5 years of production experience
3 to 5 years of administrative experience
Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High regard for quality assurance
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Experience in electronic product manufacturing in a lSO9000 environment
Working knowledge of technical software that is specific to the industry
Experience with Sage X3 software preferred but not required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, word, ERP, Sap, and SaaS.
Experience working in a production or manufacturing setting
Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or similar role
Fast typing skills; knowledge of the touch-typing system is strongly preferred
Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware, and peripheral devices
Basic understanding of databases and data management
Great attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Pay Rate: 19-21/ hour
