Volt is immediately hiring a Welder in Germantown, WI.
As a Welder you will:
The Welder will perform the daily set-up and fabricate/weld (MIG and/or TIG) weldments in a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum, utilizing blue prints for set-up and inspection of parts to ensure customer specifications are met.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Set-up, lay-out, tack-up and weld sheet metal in constructing customer parts and components
• Tack and/or weld metal parts together using MIG and/or TIG welding
• Safely apply welds per specifications to produce completed product
• Monitors the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material
• Capable of porosity-free TIG welding and MIG welding
Required Skills/Abilities:
• 2+ years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience
• High School diploma or GED required
• Ability to set-up jobs from prints
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attendance
• Positive, "can do" attitude
• A certificate from college or technical school is a plus
• Robot welding experience is a plus
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED required.

Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing vision protection, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes and other appropriate protective clothing.
Pay Rate:$19 - 26 /hr
