Volt is hiring for a Manufacturing Controller in Moscow, IA.
As a Manufacturing Controller, you will:
Cost Accounting:
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Conduct variance analysis to identify cost drivers and recommend corrective actions.
Oversee the calculation of labor, material, and overhead costs to ensure accurate product costing.
Monitor and report on inventory valuation, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the CFO to develop and implement financial strategies and plans.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process for the manufacturing operations.
Develop financial forecasts and models to support business planning and decision-making.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
Operational Support:
Partner with manufacturing management to provide financial insights and support operational efficiency.
Conduct financial analysis of manufacturing processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Support new product development by providing cost estimates and financial analysis.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor the cost accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
This is a full-time, Direct Hire position.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
Salary: $90,000 - $130,000/year.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
