The award-winning Hilton Columbus Downtown is looking for a Restaurant Manager to join this growing team at FYR - Short North!

With recognition within and outside of Hilton (ex. 5-time Connie Award Winner, Hilton's F&B Program of the Year, AAA 4-Diamond award) and recently completed a multi-million dollar expansion, this is an incredible opportunity!

We are located in the heart of the city, boasting 1,000 guest rooms, 75,000 square feet of event space, and several unique food and beverage outlets.

FYR is our signature chef-driven, live fire restaurant where we incorporate fire & smoke into the main dishes, cocktails & desserts. FYR represents the metaphorical hearth of downtown Columbus with the centerpiece of the kitchen being a wood-fired grill. .

As the ideal candidate, you will:

• Have previous experience in a mid-high volume hotel operation
• Have proven success of consistently executing a high-quality service in a professional atmosphere
• Have a detail-oriented approach to your work, with a passion for mentoring and developing a team
• Have a well-rounded background in banquets, restaurants, and upscale dining with a keen eye for details and exceptional organizational skills.

What will I be doing?

As the Restaurant Manager, you would be responsible for assisting the manager in directing and organizing the activities and services of a hotel food and beverage outlet (restaurant, lounge, room service, coffee shop, etc.) to deliver an excellent guest experience. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Management of operations to include, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, marketing initiatives, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation
• Monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counselling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
• Monitoring and assessing product quality and service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
• Initiating and implementing marketing and up-selling techniques to promote restaurant food and beverage and services and to maximize overall revenue
• Lead recruiting efforts, interviewing and training team members
