Job Description:

This exciting role as a Sales Analyst III you will aid management with the preparation of critical financial reports, budgeting and forecasting, analysis of cost trends and profitability. As a Financial Analyst you will also support the SG&A Shared Services function and comparison to budget, merger and acquisition analysis, and other ad hoc financial analysis as well as analyst to prepare metrics, support business reporting needs and perform data analysis in support of process improvements and adherence to internal controls.

This position will serve our Friedrich Air Division and is based in San Antonio, Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze category sales trends and product movements.
  • Review customer sales data and develop reports designed to identify sales trends and assist the sales team in product assortment planning and management.
  • Participate in sales and material forecast processes.
  • Assist in development and presentation of PowerPoint or other presentation materials for key customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor product mix and sales by product type and region. Propose changes based on sales reporting or other key analytics.
  • Administer customer sales programs and associated allowances ensuring accurate calculations, timely customer payments, and measure the programs effectiveness.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and yearly summaries of revenue and unit shipments and provide the sales and finance teams with the data needed to make business decisions and grow revenue.
  • Provide competitive pricing assessments and analysis; working closely with the inside sales team to maintain the company's price lists.
  • Periodically participate in customer events, trade shows, store walks, contractor events or other related sales events as requested.
  • Lead the business intelligence function for the sales and finance teams.
  • Assist in the attainment of goals in the areas of customer service, customer communication, order entry and distribution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years' experience analyzing sales data.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others is a matrix team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results while prioritizing multiple projects and dealing with numerous interruptions.
  • Experience in evaluating and analyzing retail point of sale data and summary reports.
  • Working knowledge of demand planning/supply chain management techniques.
  • Ability to travel (estimated 5-10%)
  • Experience working within a retail environment and with retail merchandise buyers preferred.
