Waterway is seeking an Associate Financial Planner with 3-5 years of industry experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative team setting and is passionate about contributing to the client experience. This role will initially involve learning the firm's processes, gaining a deep understanding of account management, financial planning, and investment philosophy. We are looking for a self-starter who is detail-oriented, hardworking, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze materials for client meetings
Attend client meetings, document key discussions, and actively participate
Execute follow-up actions from client meetings promptly and accurately
Support the onboarding process for new clients
Confidently provide financial planning advice
Assist and collaborate with other planners as needed
Manage client calls and address service-related requests
Coordinate interactions with custodians
Communicate with external professional service providers

Experience and Education
3-5+ years of industry experience, actively working towards CFP® certification
Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field
Preferred Skills • Experience with eMoney, Fidelity, Schwab, Morningstar, and Salentica-Elements is a plus
