The Estimator is responsible for managing all estimates and outsource requests and building a sourcing strategy for the company. The Estimator provides one-on-one support to our customers and internal departments by reviewing customer quote requests and entering the information into the ERP system to create a price estimate based upon job specifications. The successful candidate will develop customer relationships through exemplary service and knowledge of the industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and document all detailed costs, materials, and workflow required by other departments to ensure job and client expectations are met
Understand the processes and flow of production and how the rates affect the final pricing
Quote parts, based on the cost of materials, labor, and required production processes
Verify that estimates have accurate quantities, cost, and processes needed to fulfill the customer's order, while maintaining profit goals
Work closely with sales, purchasing, production, and inventory departments
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to deliver production partners
Provide insight to internal and/or partner stakeholders spanning the entire supplier relationship lifecycle
Manage and effectively deliver multiple projects on time and with the appropriate results
Analyze client data to understand buying needs and partner criteria
Negotiate best pricing and service through the application of current sourcing methodology
Summarize and present supplier reporting to leadership, and internal stakeholders, including recommendations on suppliers, specification and/or process changes to deliver value
Ensure partnership strategies can be executed in compliance with appropriate policies and procedures, support internal and/or client stakeholders in resolving supplier issues as necessary
Provide first-rate relationship development and maintenance to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, for all internal and client stakeholders
Support manufacturing by learning equipment run rates, departmental SOPs/SWIs and trafficking jobs to ensure timely delivery

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Engineering preferred.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 3 years of related experience in automotive manufacturing, stamping and welding, required.
Experience with Plex preferred.
Ability to work within a process driven environment, multi-task, and manage priorities.
