The role and expectations of an Assistant Buying Office Operator is to be highly organized, meticulous, a strong communicator and writer and is detail orientated. We expect the Asst. BOO to be a problem solver with the goal to fully understanding the operational processes needed to run the Buying Office. Finally, we expect our Asst. BOO to lead by example and embrace the values set forth in our mission statement.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Populates, updates and maintains the buying office training guide outlining the departments processes: handling samples, PO Express, markdowns, promotions, fit/TOP sample process, picture on order, chargebacks.
Creates documents and simulations for weekly company markdown promotions for all apparel and accessories.
Downloads company promotions on a weekly basis
Coordinates with the BOO manager and Director of Planning for promotion objectives
Communicates with Store Ops and Visual Director regarding store promotions, daily directives and promo checklist
Updates store map
Acts as the liaison to DC by updating pre-ticketing logs and communicating regarding pre-ticketing requests.
Sends out monthly chargeback log to the DC/Buying team
Reviews EOM chargeback log
Submits to Accounting the monthly chargeback log
Collaborating with the acting manager the needs for training new hires
Submitting final manual to new hire
Collaborating new hires objectives and schedule for training
Collaborate with hiring manager the objectives for 30 day, 45 day and 60 day new hire follow up and training.

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a small amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Adequate movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Team members are required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
