Our client is a private equity firm in Los Angeles that is focused on middle-market investments across a variety of industries, including technology, healthcare, consumer products, and industrials. With a reputation for delivering exceptional returns, they specialize in buyouts, growth equity investments, and recapitalizations.
They are looking for a strong Private Equity Associate to join our team. In this role, you will play an integral part in the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and executing deals to managing portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, a deep understanding of the private equity space, and a passion for driving operational improvements and value creation in portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the deal team in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and executing transactions
Perform comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analysis (DCF, LBO, and other relevant methodologies)
Prepare investment memorandums, presentations, and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Conduct market research, industry analysis, and competitive benchmarking to support investment decisions
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or management consulting
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with experience in transaction analysis
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
