The Sr Marketing Manager Crop Protection is responsible for managing the overall marketing strategy within the Certis Biological Crop Protection portfolio while driving profitable market growth.
Responsibilities:
Strengthen the value proposition for the Crop Protection product range, seek opportunities for differentiation and ensure effective communication to the market.
Strong understanding of Crop Protection Distribution and Retail channels
Develops current and future market views including customer needs and the competitive landscape
Tracks Certis Biologicals and competitor market performance, while implementing tactics to respond to changing market dynamics.
Lead Crop Teams as assigned to develop critical crop strategies and execution plans.
Sets the direction for the evolution of the portfolio in terms of innovation, Product Lifecycle management
Work with Key Account Management, Sales, finance, and VP of North America to create profitable programs for key accounts to drive growth
Manages all aspects of proprietary and third-party portfolios including product lifecycle management and product allocation by region/district
Develops and implements the crop marketing plan(s), resulting in increased sales volumes
Regularly monitors market conditions and competitor activity and advise on product positioning, local pricing, short- and long-term marketing and business plans, forecasting, future market demand, sales projections, pricing and profit margins, and report market information and identify opportunities to head office
Recognizes the impact the biopesticide product portfolio has on the entire pipeline sales, marketing, and margin opportunity
Creates an environment that fosters teamwork and continuous improvement through applicable human resource management activities.
Develops and manages departmental operating and capital budgets
Builds and maintains quality working relationships with supplier contacts, industry and government organizations, and internal departments
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Ag Business, Business, Marketing, or equivalent
8-10 years of extensive Agriculture Industry experience in either Crop Protection or similar field in a business development or marketing role capacity, with progressively increasing responsibilities in Product Management
Strong financial acumen
Knowledge and understanding of working within a regulated environment
Ability to work effectively across multiple functional teams and diverse stakeholder groups
