This family owned construction management firm that has been in business for over 45 years is looking for a construction project manager/owners rep. to join their team. The majority of their job portfolio is k-12 but they also build in the municipal, multi-family, and commercial spaces. They are extremely financially stable as they have multiple entities under one roof and are looking for someone for the long-term.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate various construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among all stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and compliance with building codes and regulations.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or changes in project scope.
Scheduling: Create and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on project status, including progress, budget adherence, and any issues that may arise.
Safety Management: Promote a culture of safety on-site, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction project management.
Proven experience managing multiple projects at once up to $20M - $40M.
K-12, municipal, or public projects highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and other relevant tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
