Arconic is currently in search of Fabrication Manager to join our Building and Construction Team in Springdale, Arkansas.

The Fabrication Manager is responsible for the fabrication and assembly of aluminum windows, curtain wall, and doors. This also includes the fabrication of assembly parts used inside our facility and to our outside customers. The department has approximately 120 team members comprised of CNC programmers, Coordinator/Schedulers, Department Leads and Fabricators working in a 24/7 operation. This position plans and executes day to day and year over year strategic direction to Kawneer Springdale Fabrication Department.
Responsibilities for Internal Candidates
Job Duties Include but are not limited to:
Provide creative, innovative, and comprehensive solutions to fabrication and assembly problems
Convey technology ideas and concepts to support plant objectives and goals to reach department goals
Initiate, review and up-date work instructions and guidelines
Ensure continued departmental effectiveness through the selection, development, training, and motivation of a competent staff
Work with Sales and New Product development for the preparation of cost estimates for new products and pricing of products to ensure Arconic's competitive market position while maintaining company profit goals
Investigate and resolve manufacturing problems through Daily Management, Problem Solving, and Continuous Improvement Activities
Ensure safe work culture exists through application of EHS standards and 5S development
Monitor and report on cost reductions, which are a result of method improvements, to improve profit margins
Utilize support staffs of Engineering and Maintenance to ensure processes are optimize to peak safety and productivity
Report daily, to the organization, key performance measures to ensure daily/monthly goals are achieved
Ensure orders are satisfied, On Time in Full, to pre-determined production schedules
Maximize CNC Utilization within work areas to effectively maximize safety and productivity
Adjust labor based on customer demand between 4 distinct fabrication areas
Engage Employees daily in safety and productivity Improvements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Ability to read and understand technical part and assembly drawings
Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools
Minimum 5 years' experience managing within a team-based people paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
Working knowledge of CNC programming
Working knowledge of Autocad
Previous Continuous Improvement Experience
Previous ERP experience with Routing and Work Order Management
