Element has an opening for a Gas Chromatography (GC) Team Lead position at our extractables and leechables (E&L) testing Center of Excellence in Bend, OR. The main responsibilities of the role includes but are not limited to providing operational oversight & support in the GC department for the execution of Extractable and Leechable (E&L) studies. This position requires working as a supervisor in a collaborative manner to accomplish organizational goals, providing ideas to improve efficiency and actively contributing to positive co-worker/customer relationships. The GC Lead will work closely with the management team and GC team members in a collaborative manner to accomplish organization goals, while fostering an environment of continual improvement.
Responsibilities:
Promote growth and development within the GC Team and greater Element E&L organization.
Monitors GC team workloads and utilization.
Creates GC team schedules to ensure project work throughput is maximized and high priority non-project work stays on track.
Routinely performs basic through advanced GC data analysis such as but not limited to El spectral interpretation.
Verifies deliverables are performed, documented, and completed according to customer expectations and quality system requirements.
Actively promotes continuous improvement and E&L continuing education.
Requirements:
B.S. in chemistry or related field.
2+ years experience with GC-MS sample and data analysis.
2+ years experience with extractable/leechable studies preferred.
Strong teamwork, organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to communicate effectively; strong written, oral and presentation skills.
