We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Work Package Planner to join our Nuclear Projects organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing mechanical work packages for both large- and small-scale projects. This role ensures that plant projects are executed safely, reliably, and efficiently, in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and prepare work instructions for mechanical and contract maintenance projects.
Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze maintenance and modification activities.
Collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve work package issues.
Define procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials required for planned work packages.
Ensure work instructions comply with all applicable station procedures and standards.
Review and approve work packages to ensure safety, quality, and technical rigor.
Participate in work control/scheduling meetings and other relevant reviews.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical area (maintenance, engineering, operations, maintenance planning) with 6+ years of experience, or
Associate's degree with 8+ years of experience, or
High school diploma/GED with technical training and 6+ years of experience, or
High school diploma/GED with 10+ years of experience in a technical area.
Experience in a nuclear environment is highly desired but not required.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Proficient in computer skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
Knowledge of nuclear power plant work management and planning processes.
Understanding of safety regulations and ALARA requirements.
