A global cybersecurity leader is looking to expand its legal function and bring on a Privacy Counsel to join the team. This individual will handle a range of global privacy and data security matters for the business while working alongside a dynamic team of privacy attorneys. This role has the ability to sit fully remote.
Responsibilities:
Manage the global privacy program and provide advice on privacy and data security matters
Work cross functionally with product, security, and marketing teams in assisting on any potential data privacy and security issues
Negotiate data protection related terms within agreements
Stay abreast of relevant international data privacy laws to ensure company's compliance on relevant and evolving matters
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience focused in data protection or privacy either in-house or at a law firm
Experience providing legal advice pertaining to privacy regulation, including GDPR
Foundation in handling SaaS commercial contractions
JD from an accredited law school and strong collaboration skills
