Summary

Reporting directly to private equity ownership, the President provides operational oversight over all core areas of the South Moon Under brand, including but not limited to, merchandising, finance, marketing, and retail operations. You will help ensure that all areas of new growth are captured by developing and executing effective brand and product strategies, from ideation to fruition.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carries overall responsibility for the company's direction, growth, and performance, including revenues, profitability, operating efficiency, and organizational development.
  • Work closely with South Moon Under private equity ownership to execute on business plan.
  • Oversee the execution of product plan, weekly open-to-buy, and marketing of products.
  • Directs day-to-day operations to ensure optimal performance, customer satisfaction, and the long-term health of the company's brand and reputation.
  • Manage product lifecycle from production through to distribution, including oversight of product design and development.
  • Facilitate operational support for brand execution and oversee successful implementation of branding and marketing efforts.
  • Own P&L and track budget throughout project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget.
  • Review, analyze, and monitor applicable reporting and analysis to derive insights and guide strategy and execution.
  • Build and manage team of subject matter experts to oversee design, production, manufacturing, distribution, marketing, finance, and all other core elements of the business. You will be the chief executive responsible for ensuring effective cross collaboration amongst these stakeholders.
  • Manage and track key performance indicators, P&L, target benchmarks, and other key analytics to ensure proper sales targets and inventory health levels are met.

Requirements
  • Bachelor/master's degree in business administration or business marketing with 5-10+ years of experience in a leadership role in a large division or company.
  • P&L ownership experience, with enhanced ability to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
  • Active problem solver who can lead a cross functional team including product development, product sourcing, website design and marketing
  • Experience with Open-To-Buy and product planning.
  • Self-entrepreneurship, self-motivation. This person needs to embody a "startup culture" mindset.
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees, as well as strong leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Travel required based on needs of the business.
