A well-known and respected general contracting company are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Asheville!
Due to a strong pipeline of projects, they're looking for an APM to join their team in working closely with the project manager to deliver projects across the Healthcare, K-12 and Higher Education sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day project operations from planning to completion
Assist in coordinating all phases of construction, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
Communicate with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment and project success
Monitor project progress to ensure timelines, budgets, and safety standards are met
Aid in the preparation of project documents, such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reports
Conduct on-site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans and safety protocols
Resolve issues or conflicts that may arise during the project lifecycle
Qualifications:
Experience: 2+ years in an assistant project management role, ideally with a background in healthcare, K-12, or higher education construction projects
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred)
Skills: Strong understanding of construction project management processes, excellent communication, and organizational skills
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar) and construction documentation
Certifications: OSHA 30 certification (preferred), PMP or LEED credentials (a plus)

Salary between $70-85,000 + discretionary annual performance bonus
