Our client, a well-known brand of Omega-3 Fish Oils, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lean Manufacturing Manager to lead the design and implementation of the Lean Manufacturing Program at their Vista, CA plant. This position will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, problem solving activities, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring optimal production processes across the facility. Elaborate and provide Training in Lean Basic concept, A3, Standardized work, 5s and other Lean Tools The Lean Manufacturing Manager will play a critical role in the cross-functional environment, optimizing our manufacturing operations, improving product quality, reducing waste, and delivering cost savings through the application of Lean Six Sigma principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement a comprehensive Lean Manufacturing Program tailored to our manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste, improving quality, and enhancing productivity.
Develop and execute value stream mapping to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities in production and support processes.
Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve process performance, including:
5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Kanban (Inventory Management)
Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing)
SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies)
Gemba (On-site Observation)
Heijunka (Production Leveling)
Provide training and mentorship to team members on Lean tools and techniques to build a culture of continuous improvement.
Support CAPA analysis and actions implementations regarding Safety, Quality and Process
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, and report on the effectiveness of Lean initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to drive Lean initiatives across the organization.
Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Certified in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from a reputable certifying institution. (trained is not accept for this position)
8+ years of hands-on implementation experience in a Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement implementation role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the supplement, food, or pharmaceutical industries.
Expertise in Statistics Six Sigma methodologies (e.g: Pareto, DOE, Regression Multivariable)
Proficiency in value stream mapping, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, JIT, and other Lean tools.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple improvement initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence change in a dynamic environment.
Pay, Benefits & Perks:
The estimated annual pay for this role is $100,000 to $140,000.
