Job Summary
The Stormwater Project Engineer will play a crucial role in our stormwater management projects, working directly in the field to ensure compliance with regulations, assess stormwater systems, and provide technical expertise. This role involves a combination of fieldwork, data analysis, and client interaction to support the successful planning and implementation of stormwater management solutions.
This includes:
Stormwater plan writing and design
NPDES permit reviews and summaries
Drainage plan analysis
Presentations and reporting writing on the findings of the analysis
Assist with proposal writing, strategy meetings, marketing tasks, and business development.
As needed QSP-related field work as listed below:
Weather tracking and scheduling/conducting field inspections for CGP compliance on construction sites
Willingness to drive, be in the field, and travel with possible overnights intermittently
Inspection report writing and reviews,
Water quality sampling
SWPPP training for contractors and new inspectors,
Communication with contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering or related Environmental Science
4 years of experience in stormwater quality
CA Construction General Permit Compliance
Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) certification
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Development and Implementation
Experience working in the field on construction projects and developing SWPPPs
Familiarity with safe practices in the field
Experience in consulting
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PDF editing programs
Organizational skills and punctuality
Valid California Driver's License
Ability for intermittent travel to job sites between Fresno and San Diego
