ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of the Maintenance I/E Technician is to support all maintenance functions at the Stanley, NC manufacturing plant. The I/E position is an integral part of the organization. He or she will work with the maintenance team to maintain and support electrical systems for mechanical, pneumatic systems, industrial automation, instrumentation, robotics and PLC control systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance and repair of electrical high/low voltage control systems/PLC/pneumatic control systems for mixing equipment including but not limited to mixing vessels, transfer pumps, batching and associated piping systems.
Installation, maintenance, repair and calibration of instrumentation equipment such as temperature sensors, mass flow meters and batching control systems.
Proficient troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical A/C systems up to 480vac, 3 phase, D/C control circuits, and PLC systems and related equipment.
Maintenance and repair of electrical/PLC/pneumatic control systems for liquid packaging equipment such as fillers, label applicators, printers, ultrasonic welders, robotics and vision systems.
Installation and maintenance of electrical distribution systems/components, piping conduits, including emt, ridged, mc, flex and various cabling per NEC standards. This includes but not limited to, 120vac, 1ph and 480vac 3ph circuits.
Responsible for assisting contractors hired by SCJ to perform electrical installations, PLC installations, PLC programming revisions and related equipment on site or remotely.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
At least 5 years of experience in Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance
Experience working in an industrial environment, ideally manufacturing.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
Knowledgeable in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, instrumentation, equipment automation, machine and equipment maintenance and related systems are a must.
Proficient use of electrical diagnostic tools is a must. Such as: multimeter, pressure calibrator, tachometer, Hart.
Proficient installing, repairing and troubleshooting of A/C and D/C Circuits, control circuits and PLC control systems is a must.
Must be able to read and interpret ladder logic programs. Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Installation, maintenance, repair and calibration of instrumentation such as temperature sensors, mass flow meters and batching control systems.
Training and certification on Allen Bradley PLC system or similar systems required.
Knowledgeable of the operation, function of Fanuc robotics or similar manufacturer a must.
Installation and maintenance of electrical distribution systems, piping conduits, including emt, ridged, mc, flex and various cabling per NEC standards. This includes but not limited to, 120vac, 1ph and 480vac 3ph circuits.
Ability to work independently and proficient, multi-tasking skills is a must.
Electrical arch flash training per NFPA 70E requirements preferred.
Safety conscious
Good communication skills. Interaction with management, contractors, and technical support.
Must have good general computer skills: Outlook, Excel at minimum.
Ability to obtain forklift operator's license, scissor lift operator's license immediately upon hire.
Time management skills are a must due to constantly changing priorities and very fast paced production work environment. Must be able to work with minimum supervision and complete job tasks with time allotted.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Full time position, Monday-Thursday 6 AM - 4 PM on site.
May be required to work overtime and weekends with short notice including second shift operations to meet business needs.
Working at heights, use of ladders, scissor lift and boom lift.
Outside conditions on occasion, air-condition/non-air-conditioned indoor environment, working in confined spaces and high areas.
Required to travel for training classes, seminars etc pertaining to field. Occasional overnight travel possible.
Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 30 lbs., up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
This position is not eligible for relocation
