We are seeking a motivated Vice President of Technology to lead our technical teams, manage our technology stack, and drive future-focused innovation.

Position Description:

As the Vice President of Technology, you will be responsible for managing a small team of engineers and developers, overseeing the technology infrastructure across multiple lines of business, and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of all technology operations. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future technology landscape of our company, driving cost efficiencies, and maintaining the integrity of our digital presence across multiple websites and platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technicians and frontend, backend and full stack developers, ensuring on-time, high-quality project delivery.
  • Software & Department Management: Oversee office software systems configurations and manage daily operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation within budget across all three businesses.
  • Strategic Planning & Cost Management: Develop technology roadmaps that align with business goals, forecast trends, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Asset Management: Manage the company's digital presence across 4+ websites, overseeing front-end development, security, scalability, and user experience.
  • Quality Assurance: Validate engineers' work, ensuring robust, scalable code for websites and front-end development that meets best practices.
  • Technology & Development Oversight: Manage the setup and maintenance of technology infrastructure, workstations, and network security. Guide development in HTML, JavaScript, API, and WordPress technologies, as well as some management of development using Angular Framework for proprietary web applications.
  • DevOps & IT Support: Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS, EC-2, S3, Route 53), code repositories, domain management, and SSL certification. Manage IT support and help desk functions to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Hardware & Software Management: Oversee PC and Apple devices with MDM, and manage software assets, procurement, integration, and configuration.
  • Network Infrastructure: Ensure secure, robust network infrastructure, including setup and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience with software development, particularly web applications and front-end development. Ability to review and critique code and technical designs across HTML, JavaScript, API, and WordPress.
  • Proven experience in managing and maintaining multiple websites, overseeing product development lifecycles, and managing complex technology projects with a strong understanding of product management principles.
  • Familiarity with modern web development frameworks, CRM systems (home-grown and third-party), and experience managing offshore/nearshore teams, QA, and third-party contractors.
  • Proficiency in AWS services (EC-2, S3, Route 53), SSH/SFTP, DNS, domain management, and SSL.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and supporting both software and hardware environments, including managing PC, Apple devices, and mobile device management (MDM) for hardware assets.
  • Expertise in software asset management, integrations, and configurations across multiple platforms.
  • Experience with network setup and management, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives, strategically plan for future technology trends, and manage technology costs effectively.

Compensation:

$180,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year.
