About the Role:
Job Title: Finance Data Modeler
Job Summary:
We are looking for a hybrid Finance Data Modeler for our direct banking client in Phoenix, AZ. The idea candidate should have over 3 to 5 years of experience with Finance/Banking clients.
The candidate will be responsible for looking for ways to maximize the value of using the public cloud. Most of the client's data is on-prem but they are slowly moving to the cloud.
This candidate will support the optimization of financial processes, contribute to cost optimization initiatives & assist with the management of financial data and reporting using advanced analytics and visualization tools
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor financial performance using data analytics tools, creating and maintaining dashboards to visualize metrics and KPIs.
Identify trends and anomalies to drive cost optimization and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote financial best practices and accurate reporting.
Support financial modeling for cost attribution, ensuring tools are updated, user-friendly, and scalable. Stay current on cloud cost management tools and seek opportunities for continuous innovation.
Required Qualifications:
Familiarity with FinOps practices and frameworks is a must
Experience with public cloud platforms (preferably AWS or GCP, but Azure is acceptable)
Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analytics, visualization, and financial modeling tools
Proficient in Power BI, Tableau, and/or Apptio BI
Ability to translate business requirements into actionable product deliverables
Expertise in Apptio Cloudability
Understanding of ETL methods, processes, and standards
Location: Phoenix, AZ (3 days onsite in a week)
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $140,000 - $160,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
