We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Bluffton, SC. The ideal candidate will support the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing projects in line with deadlines and budget requirements. This role requires strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager in all phases of the project life cycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Prepare project schedules, track progress, and update timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
Track project budgets and expenses, ensuring projects stay within financial parameters.
Assist in the management of project documentation, including contracts, permits, and reports.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Provide regular project updates to the Project Manager, clients, and other stakeholders.
Support the resolution of any project-related issues or conflicts.
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in construction, real estate, or a similar industry.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
Knowledge of local building codes and construction practices is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP or CAPM certification.
Familiarity with Bluffton and surrounding areas.
Experience working on commercial or residential construction projects.
