Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  1. Shipping and Receiving: Manage the shipping and receiving process, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and condition. Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials to designated destinations.
  2. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory counts, and reconciling discrepancies. Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained.
  3. Documentation: Prepare and maintain shipping documents, such as bills of lading, shipping labels, and packing slips. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies regarding documentation and record-keeping.
  4. Coordination: Collaborate with internal departments, such as procurement, warehouse, and transportation, to coordinate logistics activities effectively. Communicate with external partners, including carriers, suppliers, and customers, to facilitate smooth operations.
  5. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and handling customer requests related to logistics and shipping. Keep customers informed about the status of their shipments and delivery schedules.
  6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the logistics function. Implement best practices and recommend changes to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  7. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all shipments meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods to identify any defects or discrepancies.
  8. Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Identify potential hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks related to logistics operations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience working in a logistics or warehouse environment, preferably in a clerk or coordinator role.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and systems for inventory management, tracking shipments, and generating reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to shipping, transportation, and inventory management.
