Job Description:

Are you looking to provide administrative and operational support for a team of forward-thinking creatives? Our architecture and interior design client is looking to add a dynamic Office Manager to their growing DC office. The Office Manager acts as the administrative backbone, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and creating a warm, hospitable work atmosphere. A successful person in this role would be highly organized, an effective communicator, and proactive in achieving organizational effectiveness.

Core Responsibilities?
  • Create a welcoming environment and serve as the first point of contact for clients, consultants, vendors, and visitors.
  • Coordinate and manage equipment, facilities and supplies for the office and colleagues.
  • Lead administrative tasks and provide support for Managing Principals and other leaders as needed, including meeting coordination.
  • Coordinate and plan firm events and professional development activities.
  • Support new staff member onboarding and orientation.
  • Help with maintenance of professional licensure and employee records.
  • Assist with contract management as needed.

Preferred Qualifications?
  • 3+ years of administrative experience.
  • Background in Marketing/Graphic Design/or related creative field is a plus.
  • Background in Bookkeeping/Accounting is a plus.
  • Experience working at an AEC Firm a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer-service oriented.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 projects including Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with internal/external audiences.
