Pay Range: $55 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
Defines and manages the product and portfolio roadmap
Build, groom, and prioritize the product backlog(s), continuously managing expectations with relevant stakeholders - including the senior leadership team
Manage the sprint planning process and participate in all relevant ceremonies (daily planning sessions, reviews of prior sprints, grooming, retrospectives, etc.)
Develop a deep contextual understanding of our customer, worker, and users' needs
Gather market feedback through user interactions, focus groups, and by performing industry research to support future development
Write detailed functional specifications, user stories, and product documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams of program managers, product owners, developers, designers, architects, and analysts to implement and deliver new products and features
Collaborate with the organization on vision, strategy, decisioning, tactical execution, and measurement systems
Communicate roadmap stages and timelines internally with key stakeholders
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
Key Skills; Product and portfolio roadmap, utility industry business model and current challenges, massive data sets
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Energy Management, Electrical Engineering, Sustainability, or other related discipline, and 2 years of relevant experience. Six years of experience can be applied in lieu of a degree
Experience leading software delivery at a company of a comparable scale and size as ***
Experience working with teams developing and shipping software through the SDLC process, and the ability to thrive in an agile environment with bi-weekly releases
Experience with Jira or other work management software
Amazing ability to rapidly build trust and strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
Virtuoso at connecting dots across organization-wide initiatives and understanding how to position the portfolio for success in a sea of modernization initiatives
Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action.
Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to a new product development team
Previous experience working in the utility industry and a deep understanding of utility industry's business model and current challenges
Clear passion for topics of data, analytics, software engineering, and other technology products, and an ability to identify possibilities to innovate
Previous experience working with massive data sets
Ability to be self-directed and to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities
Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs.
