A rapidly growing energy company is currently seeking an EHS Specialist to support the expanding EHS department, based out of the Waltham, MA area. The EHS Specialist will be responsible for supporting the EHS Manager and entire EHS division to ensure overall compliance with regulatory requirements and further advance a positive safety culture.
The Role:
Develops and implements health and safety programs in accordance with regulations and industry best practices, including but not limited to: Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit to Work, Confined Space Entry, Lockout Tag Out (LOTO), Excavation, Hot Work, Lifting and Rigging, etc.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent and effective approach to health and safety throughout the organization and across the lifecycle of Vanguard's assets.
Ensures Corporate HSE Standards are fit-for-purpose and aligned with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
Monitors and tracks health and safety metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions; may conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
May support incident response, notification, investigation and reporting; may facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with company and contractor personnel.
The Candidate:
B.S. Degree in Health & Safety related field
3+ years of Safety experience in O&G, Energy, or Chemicals industries.
Professional certification (ASP, CSP, SMS, etc.) preferred.
Project management skills and fluency in HSE management systems is a plus.
Knowledge of PSM preferred
Ability to travel up to 30% across the New England region.
