Job Summary: The Commercial Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of ground-up construction projects exceeding $20 million. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all phases of commercial construction projects, from pre-construction through final closeout.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project goals are met.
Monitor project progress, adjusting plans and resources as necessary to maintain timelines and budget constraints.
Conduct regular site visits to assess project status, quality of work, and safety compliance.
Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates and address any concerns.
Prepare and present project reports, forecasts, and status updates to senior management and clients.
Foster a culture of safety and adherence to industry regulations and standards.
Mentor and guide junior project staff, promoting professional development and teamwork.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing commercial construction projects, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
Proven experience managing ground-up projects valued at $20 million or more.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore).
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
PMP certification is a plus.
