Company: M12 Enterprise Solutions, a San Antonio-based firm, has been a leading provider of technical and business professionals to Texas clients. We are seeking an experienced Traffic Technology Architect to join our technical services team.
Job Overview:
The selected candidate will perform advanced traffic systems analysis and development as part of the TxDOT Traffic Technology program. The role involves leading activities around traffic control technology systems, including planning, designing, integrating, and supporting these systems. The architect will manage traffic technology hardware and software, perform gap analysis, develop solutions, and work closely with TxDOT's diverse technical and professional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct current and future state mapping of traffic services, perform gap analysis, estimate delivery milestones, and lead development meetings.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in traffic technology, providing expert guidance and solutions to technical teams.
Lead the design and delivery of traffic technology systems, ensuring high-quality solutions and service.
Act as a liaison between the user community and IT, ensuring solutions meet client-specific needs.
Manage third-party vendors and apply best practices in traffic networking, data, device hardware, and applications.
Evaluate traffic technologies for acquisition and assess the strengths, weaknesses, and potential benefits of hardware/software resources.
Oversee the maintenance, design, development, and analysis of traffic systems, and lead efforts to improve services, products, and protocols.
Analyze traffic system data, draw insights, and communicate findings to stakeholders and TxDOT management.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in project development for engineering or IT systems.
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, data processing, or a related field from an accredited four-year institution.
4+ years of experience with traffic applications, signals, and hardware.
2+ years of experience in traffic data analysis and reporting.
4+ years of experience in the public sector (Federal, State, or Local Government).
Proven ability to prepare and deliver presentations to large groups.
