We are currently seeking a Peer Support Program Manager to lead initiatives supporting the health and well-being of our clinical workforce-physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, and more. This critical role involves overseeing a system-wide peer support program, including organizing and facilitating training in Stress First Aid, Psychological First Aid, and other evidence-based support methods for volunteer peer supporters.
Additionally, you will manage peer support software, assess those in need of peer support, make referrals for acute cases, and ensure proper follow-up to close support requests effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the triage and matching of clinicians requesting peer support with trained supporters, ensuring quality follow-up.
Safeguard confidentiality while overseeing data collection and management.
Develop and implement peer support policies and procedures across the health system.
Collaborate with departments such as Cares Program, Spiritual Health, Behavioral Health, and Spring Health to ensure proper support and triage processes.
Design educational programs and deliver asynchronous training through recorded workshops.
Travel to hospitals and outpatient clinics to provide training and educational support.
Collect, analyze, and present data on the peer support program's utilization and impact to stakeholders, including senior executives, and at national/international conferences.
Lead communication efforts and socialization strategies for the peer support program.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing (RN license required).
Certification or willingness to become trained in PFA, SFA, and other evidence-based support programs.
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
At least 3 years of experience in health education.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills to support both those seeking and providing peer support.
High level of professionalism, critical thinking, and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in population health.
Background in triaging patients or clinicians with behavioral health needs.
Skills in data collection, analysis, and presenting findings both orally and in writing.
