Our financial services client is looking for a UX Designer for an ongoing contract position. The role is on-site in Downtown Los Angeles. As a UX Designer, you will be a key member of a dynamic product design team supporting web and app-specific initiatives around financial services.
Responsibilities:
Support the end-to-end UX design process for web and mobile from concept ideation to final implementation
Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions, ensuring a deep understanding of user needs, pain points and behaviors
Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate your design concepts and solutions
Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to ensure the feasibility and successful implementation of design solutions
Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and refine designs based on user insights and data
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in mobile and native app design and actively share your knowledge and insights with the team
Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices within the organization, fostering a culture of empathy and user advocacy
Qualifications:
4+ years of product design experience
Product design experience within the finance industry and samples to present
Online portfolio showcasing your UX design skills for financial services
Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., UX design, human-computer interaction, graphic design)
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
Experience in conducting user research, including interviews, usability testing and surveys
Strong knowledge of mobile app design guidelines and best practices for iOS and Android platforms
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and solutions
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, juggling multiple projects and priorities
