We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Assistant to support a solar engineering consultancy team. The firm has been so busy and successful in the last couple of years they need a project manager / engineering assistant with a technical background to help to be the interface between the client and the engineer on end to end projects.
The role is hybrid with offices in Alameda, 2/3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
Assist engineers in the design and implementation of solar energy projects.
Review and help respond to RFI's
Prepare technical documentation, including reports, project proposals, and specifications.
Support project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Utilize software tools for modeling, simulation, and data analysis related to solar energy systems.
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in solar energy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, or related field) or equivalent experience.
Two years of experience in renewable energy, solar is a plus
Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, or similar tools) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
