Northeast Kingdom Human Services has an opening for a DS Team Leader in St Johnsbury. The Team Leader will provide the management and leadership to support staff and consumers. AN exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role and work with a larger team of professionals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / SUMMARY

The DS Team Leader will support and assist the individuals receiving IDD services and their staff to follow the Individual Support Agreements (ISA) goals and objectives. These services may happen in the individual's home, place of employment, community and/or other environments. All services will be provided in a respectful manner and follow the Home and Community Based Rules, DD Act, and NKHS DS philosophy

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervision of DS Service Coordinators, DSPs, or residential staff as assigned.
  • Oversees the scheduling and daily workflow for assigned direct reports.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations to direct reports.
  • Handles hiring, discipline, and termination of direct reports in accordance with organizational policy.

Essential Tasks/Functions/Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned DS employees.
  • Provide, coordinate, mentor and document employees' pre-service, in-service and on-going trainings.
  • Service Coordination
  • Manage on-going crisis in the areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Manage individual budgets and cost center budgets

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
  • Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP) certification.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities/or autism.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
