Position: Studio Assistant
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers as they enter the studio
Explain how the pottery painting process works and guide customers in selecting pottery pieces
Provide creative advice and tips to customers on painting techniques
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including pottery shelves, painting stations, and plant displays
Ensure paints, brushes, and other materials are restocked regularly
Handle cash register and process transactions
Clean and glaze pottery pieces after customers complete their designs
Water and care for indoor plants to ensure they remain healthy and vibrant
Assist with hosting workshops, events, and private parties
Monitor kiln operations and manage pottery firing schedules (training provided)
Maintain an inviting and friendly atmosphere for customers of all ages
Help with marketing efforts such as posting on social media or organizing local promotions (as needed)
Qualifications:
Excellent customer service skills with a positive and approachable demeanor
Basic artistic skills or experience with painting (preferred but not required)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Passion for creativity, plants, and working with people
Willingness to learn and assist with kiln operations (training provided)
Availability on weekends and holidays (flexible schedule)
