Financial Analyst - Fully Onsite in the Rocky Mount, NC Area As a Financial Analyst, you will act as a key resource on all aspects of annual budgeting. You will ensure that all department budget information reports are prepared accurately and in a timely manner. You will be responsible for articulating all deviations to the annual budget to Management and the Budget Review Committee. You will assist with the integration of budget information into the accounting system and perform analysis for fiscal operations as necessary, including cash management, payroll, rent, investments, etc.
Other responsibilities include:
Performing monthly analytics to explain actual vs. projected expenses
Assisting departments to model out projected expenses
Completing monthly payments and accrual entries
Providing quality and timely technical support work for departments within the organization
Handling general ledger analysis, queries and related needs
Assisting on ad hoc projects and analysis as needed
Assisting with review of department cost center allocations
Providing technical support for the budget system
Assisting with budget and expense reforecasts
Assisting with monthly 'actual vs. budget' variance analysis
Providing technical assistance for headcount reporting
Ability to manipulate and cleanse data in Excel
Forecasting
Month end close processes
Skills and experience:
5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Knowledge of accounting/ERP software, including NetSuite, JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics Suite, or NetSuite
Knowledge of reporting systems, including with OneStream, Hyperion, Adaptive Planning preferred
Experience working in a paperless environment strongly preferred
Manufacturing experience is required
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Ability to work autonomously with little direction
Good work ethic and displays a can do type of attitude
