Our client is seeking a Data Governance Product Manager to join their team! This position is located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
Duties:
Identify, coordinate, and engage with data stewards and data analysts to drive data governance outcomes and manage data including data collection methodologies in support of company products
Responsible for gathering or assisting with gathering information requirements for output
Create comprehensive documentation of metrics and data governance processes, embedding business requirements and contextual understanding
Develop a strong understanding of targeted business operations and assist in the analysis of related business processes
Work directly with business sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure the solution meets the product vision and business objectives
Implement a change management process for new reporting protocols in the analytics organization, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and a comprehensive understanding of changes
Act as a champion for data governance, representing the organization's interests in cross-functional meetings and contributing to a culture of data literacy
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, employing strong project management skills to meet deadlines and objectives
Conduct training sessions and create educational materials for stakeholders to enhance understanding and engagement
Desired Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field
3+ years of experience in data governance, analytics, or a related field
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including business SMEs and IT teams
Experience in creating clear and concise documentation and training materials
Certifications in Data Governance, Project Management, or Change Management are preferred
