Role Summary:

The Jr. Project Manager will oversee product and technology development projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong coordination of internal and third-party resources, detailed project planning, and effective communication with senior leadership. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a background in project management, capable of balancing multiple priorities while maintaining clear documentation of project progress and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Execution: Manage the execution of multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, scope adherence, and budget control. Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams to coordinate resources and tasks.
  • Project Scope & Objectives: Assist in defining project scope and objectives, engaging with all relevant stakeholders and utilizing Cedar-approved tools and programs.
  • Project Charter & Plan: Develop detailed project charters and plans to set expectations, timelines, and deliverables while tracking progress against goals.
  • Gate Clearance: Partner with product managers during the initiation and planning phases to ensure all projects clear the required gates for progression.
  • Resource Management: Ensure resource availability across multiple teams using resource planning and tracking tools.
  • Scope, Schedule & Risk Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget using Cedar's approved processes and tools. Monitor project risks and create mitigation plans as necessary.
  • Performance Tracking: Measure and report on project performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques, providing weekly updates to senior leadership.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring all actions, decisions, and changes are tracked accurately.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure that project goals align with Cedar's broader business objectives.
  • Meetings & Communication: Lead regular project reporting meetings with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in project management, preferably in a technical or product development environment.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of project management tools (Microsoft Project), spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), and Smartsheet preferred.
  • Certifications: Knowledge of Six Sigma tools or Green Belt Certification is a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Experience: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration across various departments.

Location: This is an onsite role based in West Chester, Ohio
