Job Summary:
The Fintech Operations Analyst will play a key role in optimizing and streamlining our operational processes, ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day activities. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to monitor performance, enhance transaction processing, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will leverage data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and ensure the scalability of our operations as we continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Processing and Reconciliation:
Monitor, review, and reconcile daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in transaction records and collaborate with relevant teams to implement solutions.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Ensure adherence to financial regulations (KYC, AML) and company policies.
Assist in detecting and mitigating operational risks, including monitoring for fraud and suspicious activity.
Operational Support:
Collaborate with customer support teams to investigate and resolve operational issues impacting clients.
Ensure service levels are met in relation to transaction processing times and issue resolution.
Data Management and Reporting:
Generate and analyze reports on transaction volumes, performance metrics, and key operational data.
Provide insights to senior management on trends, inefficiencies, and potential improvements.
System and Process Optimization:
Work with technology and product teams to optimize workflows, automate processes, and scale systems to meet customer demand.
Identify bottlenecks in current processes and recommend solutions for operational improvements.
Vendor and Partner Management:
Coordinate with third-party service providers (payment processors, banks) to ensure seamless integration and issue resolution.
Monitor the performance of vendors and ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
Business Continuity:
Assist in maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans for the operations team.
Support incident response activities in the event of operational disruptions.
Key Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in operations, finance, or analytics, preferably within a fintech or financial services company.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Python, or similar).
Familiarity with transaction systems, payment gateways, and financial platforms.
Experience with financial reconciliation tools and automation platforms is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as KYC, AML, and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in fintech or payment processing operations.
Knowledge of process automation and workflow optimization.
Understanding of operational risk management and business continuity planning.
