Selby Jennings is working with a Houston based Private Equity firm with $1.7B AUM that makes $30 - 150M control equity investments in the North American energy industry. Their portfolio is primarily upstream O&G with plans in the near future of diversifying their strategy across the Energy space. They have raised and deployed three funds, recently closed on their 4th Fund, and will raise a separate credit focused fund in the near future.
Qualifications:
Possess a bachelor's or graduate degree (preferably in finance)
Have at least 2+ years direct experience in an energy finance role (energy exposure in energy private equity, investment banking, or equity research preferred)
Exhibit strong financial modeling and analysis skills
Be detail-oriented with strong written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities:
Monitor and evaluate portfolio companies via analysis of capital projects, financial models, and asset performance
Manage ongoing financial models for portfolio companies
Conduct industry research related to the portfolio and other investment opportunities
Develop financial and technical analysis for new investment opportunities
Perform quarterly portfolio company valuations and quarterly reporting functions
Create investor relations and fundraising materials for current and prospective LPs
Be a strong contributor to the overall operations and success of the firm
