Position Information

This position is responsible for working collaboratively with the Continuous Improvement Manager to ensure alignment of plant continuous improvement activities to the broader Marathon Cheese Corporation (MCC) strategy and vision. This role will analyze current processes, identify constraints, and recommend changes that support MCC goals. The Continuous Improvement Analyst will engage with cross functional teams to identify opportunities to simplify, stabilize, improve and innovate routines and processes, ensuring favorable performance to target. The Continuous Improvement Analyst will be a key contributor to the establishment of a data driven continuous improvement minded culture.

Job Responsibilities
  • The Continuous Improvement Analyst will design and implement analysis procedures, programs, and projects to improve processes that contribute to the facilities achievement of goals and planned objectives
  • Will collect and analyze data inputs from production records and evaluate performance to target to identify areas of opportunity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to support facility improvement initiatives that align with organizational goals
  • Develop and maintain documentation for the support of process improvements
  • Monitor and track the progress of identified site level improvement projects
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and make recommendations for adjustments as necessary
  • Present manufacturing progress and status report on daily, weekly and monthly cadence as required to support the improvement model
  • Develop and create visual reports/charts utilizing Excel, manage meetings and communication, and support the mission of the safety, quality and efficiency initiatives of the company
  • Support the implementation of lean strategies which lead to improvement in margin, product delivery performance and reduction of process variation.
  • Assist in fostering the adoption of continuous improvement as a way of life, creating a culture of change
  • Primary function of this role includes but is not limited to the manufacturing operations of the Marathon City facility.

Qualifications for Continuous Improvement Analyst
  • Associates Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related fields, or 4+ years of applicable experience required
  • 3 years of experience in continuous improvement role in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in SAP and advanced computer skills relevant for data management, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience with Minitab, Tableau, Pivot Tables applications is a plus
  • Must have the capability to develop reports and communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner to all levels of Operations
  • Strong cross collaboration and team building skills with a passion to develop and coach team members
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Detail oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
