Adecco has partnered with our great client to find them a skilled structural STEEL estimator. Our client values quality, safety, and innovative design, and they aim to expand our team with a talented professional who has a keen eye for detail and a proven track record in delivering accurate and competitive bids. This is a hybrid position with five weeks of vacation, one week of sick pay, one week paid during "shut down", excellent benefits, bonus eligible, flexible work schedule, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contract documents thoroughly.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Collaborate with project managers, detailers, and subcontractors to ensure precision in estimates and bid proposals.
Maintain up-to-date pricing databases for materials and labor.
Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.
Assist in creating proposals and presentations for clients.
Qualifications:
Background in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
At least 2 years of estimating experience specifically in structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
Familiarity with Bluebeam software is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices.
